The older siblings knew this as the Milton house where Bond and Marion Milton raised Ricky and Kay. Bond was the quintessential engineer who puttered around in a huge workshop filled with every tool imaginable. He'd love to sharpen our lawnmower blades but would never mow his own lawn, usually hiring a Schmitt boy to do the job until Ricky got old enough. He would go into old Detroit mansions, buy up their organs, and remove them. (Did the houses wake up in bathtubs in strange hotel rooms later?) His basement held rows and rows of pipes from one of his projects. I don't think he ever got that organ to work.
